The Fraser Range Nickel-Copper & Gold Project in Western Australia - a sizeable land package holding of granted tenements in the Fraser Range, lying between two of the most significant Australian mineral discoveries of the past decade: the world class Tropicana gold deposit and the Nova-Bollinger nickel-copper deposit. Current exploration is targeting magmatic hosted nickel-copper dicoveries similar to the Nova-Bollinger deposit to the south and deposits wihtin the Thompsons Nickel Belt in Canada.
The Connors Arc Epithermal Gold Project in central Queensland - located in a similar geological and structural setting to other significant epithermal systems such as Cracow, Rannes, Mt Mackenzie and Mt Carlton. Orion is currently drilling a substantial, highly prospective intermediate sulphidation target at the Aurora Flats Prospect generated by field mapping, geophysical surveys and re-interpretation of shallow drilling results. Field mapping has also led to the identification of the Veinglorious Prospect, where there is potential for porphyry style copper-gold mineralisation to be closely related to the gold-silver epithermal mineralisation.
The Walhalla Project in Victoria - located within one of Australia's most productive historical gold fields, Orion has identified signiificant underexplored potential for copper, nickel and Platinum Group Elements (PGE) mineralisation within the Woods Points Dyke Swarm. Walhalla represents a unique opportunity to identify deposits of metals which are anticipated to have significant global demand in coming decades.
